SmartSat’s Victoria node aims to support the Victorian Space innovation ecosystem through small grants and networking opportunities.
SmartSat CRC’s Victoria Node is supported by Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), and with funding provided by SmartSat and the Victorian Department of Education and Training (DET) through a Victorian Higher Education Strategic Investment Fund (VHESIF) Grant.
The purpose of the Victoria Node is to connect with other SmartSat national nodes in order to develop know-how and technologies in advanced telecommunications and IoT connectivity, intelligent satellite systems and Earth observation next generation data services, with a focus on relevant industry and research sectors in Victoria.
The Victoria Node will run a small grants program and will seek to run a regular events program to drive industry-research teaming and collaboration for space industry growth and R&D opportunities.
