P1.27 Cognitive Satellite Radios

This project aims to explore the application of cognitive radios to the application of space communications. It is broken into two clear technology pillars of sensing and then intelligent spectrum use with a good and relevant application of avoiding adversarial situations. It aims to develop relevant models, analysis and simulations as well as a testbed for concept demonstration. It aims to apply AI and ML approaches to both the sensing and spectrum access components. There are a number of space comms relevant use cases to be explored.
