P3.32s On-ground management of soil health by integrating proximal and remote sensing platforms in northern Australian savannas grazing land

Next Generation Earth Observation Data Services

Than Myint Swe, The University of Queensland

This research aims to develop an interconnected suite of sensing platforms to detect and quantify ground cover as indicators of soil health and early warning signs of a degrading landscape due to overgrazing, fire or drought. The plan is to develop methodology that supports balanced management reflected in the environmental benefits of effective ground cover.
