SA school students to name SASAT1 satellite
South Australian Premier Steven Marshall has announced that Australia’s first state satellite will be named by a South Australian student. This is an exciting opportunity for the next generation of space leaders to contribute to this milestone mission by suggesting a name that captures South Australia’s rich cultural and linguistic diversity.
SmartSat is thrilled to lead the SASAT1 space services mission and manage application prototyping, which will collect valuable data and help improve emergency services, water quality, mining and bushfire mitigation in South Australia.
We can’t wait to see the creativity of South Australia’s young minds in suggesting a new name for the satellite.
