Home Speakers Dr Dan Hannan Dr Dan Hannan Retired US Government Service expert on Space Policy in architects for the Wideband Global SATCOM, Washington February 2020 Presentation date: 3 February 2020 Dr Hannan is one of the architects of the USA Department of Defence Wideband Global SATCOM system. He served as a Space Systems Expert for wideband at Army Strategic Command at Peterson Air Force Base before ending his US Government career as a space policy expert in Washington DC. He was a key member of the US Government team that negotiated the WGS MoU with Australia in 2007 and has been a frequent visitor to Australia under this program to strengthen the partnership in wideband SATCOM. Dan completed a PhD in 2013 at Capella University investigating the impact of the Global Digital Divide on cultural attitudes to ICT uptake.
