Project P1.32s Emergency Buddy System

Francis is currently a PhD student at Swinburne University of Technology, where he is researching an Emergency Buddy System for reliable, low-cost communications during disasters in remote locations. To achieve this goal, he is investigating the integration of WiFi, LoRa, and Low Bitrate Satellite Communications over a distributed population. The resulting alternative network will be easily deployable and highly adaptable to various emergency scenarios, making it well-suited for areas without mainstream networks.

Kagai holds a Master of Science in Computer Science (Distinction) from Staffordshire University, UK, and an MBA (Merit) from the University of Sunderland, UK. He is a versatile professional with extensive experience in ICT and project management.
