Chenxi Luo is a PhD candidate in the Cisco – La Trobe Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things at La Trobe University. Her research is primarily about the mapping of water quality parameters and the time series forecasting of water nutrients. Additionally, her focus extends to the development of a real-time water quality monitoring and forecasting system designed for large-scale deployment and sustainable long-term utilisation.

Prior to her doctoral studies, Luo accrued six years of experience as a software engineer in adaptive learning for the education of teenagers in China. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Environmental Engineering from the University of Nottingham and a Master of Science (Honours) in Computer Science from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom.
