Elliot Hansen is an engineer holding a Master of Electronic Engineering and a Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Honours) both from the University of Adelaide, earned in 2022 and 2017, respectively.
Currently employed at Defence Science & Technology Group, he concurrently pursues a PhD at the University of Adelaide. Specialising in synthetic aperture imaging radar science, Elliot’s doctoral research is focused on investigating the rich textural detail present in ocean synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images. Leveraging data-driven and physics-based models, his inquiry capitalises on the increasing availability of space-based ocean SAR datasets. This work is poised to contribute to the understanding of SAR imagery of the ocean surface and has applications in environmental monitoring and resource management.
