Alex Nguyen is a PhD student specializing in the intersection of Deep Learning and Computer Vision, with a keen focus on advancing water quality monitoring through cutting-edge research. At the heart of Nguyen’s current research lies the challenging task of semantic segmentation of ultra-large remote sensing images, a critical step in accurately identifying and classifying different water bodies and assessing their quality on a large scale. Looking ahead, Nguyen is poised to expand the scope of his research by delving into the realm of multi-modal transformers. This next phase aims to harness the power of data fusion, integrating weather data, climate information, and remote sensing images to develop more comprehensive and predictive models of water quality.
