Alison joined the SmartSat team in June 2020, bringing extensive communications and events management experience to the role. In 2022, Alison was selected to participate in the Governor’s Leadership Foundation program and graduated in December of that year. She formerly worked as Senior Media & Communications Officer at DonateLife SA, managing the delivery of State’s media and public relations programs to raise awareness of organ and tissue donation. Previous to this, Alison was the Public Relations and Marketing Manager for the SA Film Corporation (SAFC) and managed the SAFC’s communication strategy to promote South Australia’s screen productions, facilities, talent and locations. Alison also has prior experience in the research sector, as Marketing and Communications Manager for the Goyder Institute for Water Research. From 2008-2016, Alison was the SA & NT Manager for the Australian Water Association, the leading membership organisation for Australia’s water industry.
