Jeff Kasparian has over 25 years’ experience on collaborative projects and programs, with most experience in the area of satellite communications research, development and management, primarily at the Institute for Telecommunications Research (ITR), University of South Australia. He has a degree in Electronic Engineering, and Diploma in Management.
He has worked in technical roles in digital implementation of advanced satellite receivers, and then transitioned to various management roles within ITR, including as Operations Manager, Business Manager, and as Acting Director of the group. Jeff has facilitated and managed a number of satellite R&D programs. This includes roles as payload manager, ground station manager, we well as developing and managing projects with many organisations (including Inmarsat, Intelsat, Defence, Com Dev)
He’s most recently been Bid Coordinator, and subsequent Programs Director on a successful CRC bid that commenced late 2017 (iMOVE CRC – an ‘intelligent transport’ CRC, improving the movement of people and freight). Under his direction, 15 projects commenced within its first year of operation. Since 2005 he had strong involvement with the Space Industry Association of Australia (formerly ASICC) in various roles on the Executive Committee and the Board.
