The Grant-Funded Researcher role is to work on two separate but related projects of using Earth observation to measure vegetation responses to global change.

The first project, SA EcoMap, is supported by SmartSat. SA EcoMap will investigate the usage of hyperspectral remote sensing with UAV LiDAR to examine differential vegetation recovery from bushfire. The second project, sponsored by the ARC, will examine the impact of rising temperatures on reducing tropical forest canopy leaf area.

The successful applicant will be based at the North Terrace campus of the University of Adelaide. There will be opportunity for field work throughout the project, and collaboration with investigators at TERN and James Cook University.
