Communications engineering, phase- and spatial-stabilisation system development

Skevos Karpathakis is a PhD candidate at the University of Western Australia, investigating applications of phase and spatial stabilisation to free space optical communications. He is affiliated with the Astrophotonics group at the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research, where he worked as an electronics engineer prior to commencing his PhD. Before joining ICRAR, Skevos worked in product development in the smart city space. He previously completed a Master of Professional Engineering at UWA, and led a team of students to participate in the Formula SAE competition.
